Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 May 2026

Maxxer (maxxer.me) is an entertainment site. We have designed it to collect as little data as possible — in practice, almost none.

Who we are

Maxxer is operated as a personal project. Data controller contact: info@maxxer.me

What data we collect

We do not require registration. We do not ask for your name, email, or any identifier. Quiz answers stay entirely in your browser (localStorage) and are never transmitted to our servers. The only server-side data processed per request is your IP address (standard web server log, retained for up to 7 days for security purposes) and the Accept-Language header (used to auto-detect your preferred language).

Cookies

We use one functional cookie: NEXT_LOCALE (language preference). No analytics, no advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy for full details.

Shared result links

When you share a result, your score and module breakdown are encoded in the URL itself (base64url). No data is stored on our server. Anyone with the link can see the score encoded in it — do not share if you consider the result private.

Third-party services

The site is hosted on a private VPS. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party advertising network. Google Fonts are loaded via Google's CDN — this means Google's servers process your IP when fonts are loaded. We are evaluating self-hosting fonts to eliminate this.

Children

Maxxer is intended for users aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has provided data, contact us and we will take action.

Your rights (GDPR)

Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, and delete personal data we hold about you. Since we hold virtually no personal data (only server logs for 7 days), most requests will result in "no data found." To exercise your rights or ask questions: info@maxxer.me

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be announced on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
